Martin Scott Dinzes, lovingly known as Marty, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2026, at the age of 74, surrounded by the family and friends he adored. A lifelong resident of Passaic & Clifton, New Jersey, Marty lived a life full of laughter, generosity, and deep connection. Born on September 28, 1951, in Passaic, NJ, Marty was the beloved son of the late Doreen and Harold Dinzes. He brought positive energy wherever he went and had a remarkable ability to make people feel welcome, supported, and seen. Marty found joy in many things: his plumbing business, a good round of golf, swimming in just about any pool he could find, and cheering (sometimes loudly) for the New York Mets and New York Giants. He had a special fondness for baking banana bread, dressing ripe tomatoes with crumbled blue cheese, watching The Three Stooges, and building sandcastles, no matter his age. Above all, Marty cherished being surrounded by family and friends. He was fiercely loyal, endlessly giving, and had a natural way of becoming a father figure not only to his own children, but to many others lucky enough to cross his path. Marty is survived by his children, Chad Dinzes and Samantha Buckley; his daughter-in-law Elysa; his son-in-law Graham; and his four grandchildren, Jackson, Jordyn, Juliet, and Jared, who brought him immeasurable pride and joy. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Joanne Dinzes, and his cherished brother, Richard Dinzes. Marty will be remembered for his consistent sense of humor, his sincere generosity, and his instinct to always put others first. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and love that will continue to be felt by all who knew him. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 18, at 10:00 a.m. at Jewish Memorial Chapel, 841 Allwood Road, Clifton, NJ.

ARTHUR SUKEL OBITUARY 1937-2025 Arthur Sukel (88) was born on May 2, 1937, in North Adams, Massachusetts, one of five children to Nathan and Theresa (nee: Pappa) Sukel. Following his 1955 graduation from Drury High School in North Adams, where he was a standout athlete and lettered in football, basketball and baseball, he joined the United States Army and served from February 7, 1955 through February 6, 1958 as a Specialist Third Class teaching Military Aircraft Radar to the Chinese Army on the Island of Taiwan. Following his Honorable discharge, Arthur attended Bryant University where he first met the love of his life Carole (Oliner) Sukel and graduated in 1960 with a degree in Accounting. On February 20, 1960 he married Carole with whom he spent 65 wonderful and loving years. After Bryant, Arthur started his career as a Junior Accountant, at Leidersdorf & Company (today, Ernst and Young), Certified Public Accountants, New York City. He then went on to become a Financial Analyst for Tidewater Oil Company. New York City. In 1965, Arthur began what was to become a successful and storied career first as an Investment Analyst with CBS. While working full-time at CBS in 1967, Arthur earned his MBA in Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University. That MBA allowed him to then rise within CBS to first, the Director of Budgets, Director of Mergers & Acquisitions, Vice President of Finance, and ultimately the Chief Financial Officer of CBS Magazines. When the unique and once in a lifetime opportunity presented itself in 1985, he was one of four executives who purchased CBS Publishing and its most successful magazines — Woman's Day, Car and Driver, Field & Stream and Popular Photography among others in the CBS portfolio, from the media giant, thus forming Diamandis Communications, Inc. This transaction was recorded at the time as the fastest successful leveraged buyout turnaround in Wall Street history. Its development and operations became a case study in business schools and law schools around the country. In 1990, Diamandis Communications, Inc. was sold to Hachette Publications and then Arthur retired, at 53 years of age. In his retirement, as an avid golfer (with two Holes-in-Ones to his credit), he focused on family and through his successful private investments he was able to aid his children, grandchildren and extended family’s children through financial contributions to their education. Arthur and Carole both believed that a good education was the key to success in life and together they have established endowment scholarships and educational gifts to both Bryant University and Fairleigh Dickinson University, where Arthur served as a University Trustee from 2015 through 2021. In June 2017 at the annual Charter Day Ceremony, Arthur was inducted into the FDU Pinnacle Society, one of the highest honors awarded to alumni for distinction in their chosen career field and outstanding service to the University. Arthur is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Carole, Sons Steven and Daniel, Daughter Teresa, Daughters-in-Laws Marla Sukel, and Kim-Parliman-Sukel, Grandsons Justin Sukel, Joshua Sukel and Zachary Sukel. Sisters Patricia Preate, Judy Davis and Marilyn Coyle. He is predeceased by his brother Robert Sukel and parents Nathan and Theresa Sukel. Arthur had 8 nieces and nephews, among them who have their own children. He leaves a lasting legacy of family devotion, love and support.
